Apple Soon to Release a Gaming Device?

appleconceptNotice the question mark at the end of the title? There was a talk that Apple has applied for trademark protection on gaming. And more than a month ago, Apple also filed for a multitasking gaming touchscreen as discussed over at engadget. The patent application reads,

“the invention allows various applications to be integrated and used on devices that are not readily suitable for supporting multiple applications at the same time.”

If this is true, we could see a multi-touch handheld game similar to the Nintendo DS but will carry a more sophisticated look like the iPhone. And if this is true, Steve Jobs will surely be loved more by geeks and gamers. Looks like Apple is set to rule the gadget world.
