It was 2 days ago when Apple Store was unusually down. People were wondering whether a new line of MacBooks or the much awaited new Mac OS will be launched. But after a few hours, Apple’s homepage proudly showed this: So it’s the latter. The Mac OS X Leopard will be available to public on October 26, a Friday. Apple’s marketing team sure knows how to tease. As if the new addition to Apple’s OS “canine family” being the talk of both Windows and Apple town is not enough, Steve Job’s simply had to keep his fans asking for more while waiting.
Let’s see if the new Mac OS X Leopard features are something to rave about:
- Stuning new desktop – the Stacks feature is a Dock item that gives you fast access to a folder of files for a perfectly neater desktop
- Finder with Coverflow – see files in the finder as they look. The now popular Coverflow originally found in iPods and iPhones is now on your Mac desktops
- QuickLook – gives you a sneak peek of entire files — even multiple-page documents and video — without having to open them
and more!
Now I suddenly can’t wait for what’s next after Windows Vista. Hello, Bill Gates?!
